How $20 dollars can change your life...or at least turn your day around

Fall and Winter are by far my favorite seasons. Cozy sweaters, hot coffee, family visits, Christmas music and jumping into piles of leaves make me one happy gal. Unfortunately, as the seasons change and the earth dips into a cold abyss the days of sunshine are far and few in between. Thus, marking the end of my perpetually sun kissed skin. I am mighty blessed to be of Italian descent and have that golden-olive bronze that only comes from my ancestors hailing from the Amalfi coast. But as we sail far from summertime my sun inked skin starts to fade and that golden-olive bronze starts to look more like a first time coffee drinkers milk drenched concoction. Granted, my skin is never the “conventional pale” most think of but feeling any sort of pale can really mess with a ladies confidence. Am I right?
However, today I am feeling fresh, revived and ready to tackle the end of the weekday antics! How did one go from feeling drab to fab? Well, I have Mystic tan to thank for that! You see, yesterday on my rain induced red brake light commute home I found a $20 bill in my center console. To be completely honest, I have no idea how in the world it got there but I am not complaining!

I went on with my usual routine, got home changed out of my business cas and went to the gym. Walking in I noticed a sign on the tanning salon next door (I think the entire world has caught onto the GTL craze) that read “Special: Mystic Tan $20.00” Coincidence? I think not. I went on with my workout and decided that it MUST have been fate finding that money so I must use it wisely so I decided to take the risk.
Now, I have had a few sunless tans before. But I have honestly never been ecstatic about them. Between streaky skin and brown elbows, the headache that accompanied them just wasn’t worth it. But I digress. I took the plunge and have never been happier! Today I am feeling great about everything and even dropping my Oikos on the ground couldn’t hold me back from having an AMAZING day! Have you ever tried Mystic Tan? What were your results?
Wanted to avoid looking like this

And more like this!

Hello!

Hey folks! I am new to the blogging world and just wanted to introduce myself.

I am a twenty something gal living in Maryland and trying to adjust to the corporate world. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2010 with a wonderful degree in History. What does one do with a History degree? Well I will be (attempting) to answer that question along the way. Truth is...I am not too sure where exactly I want my life to go or where I want to end up but I do know that I want to relish all the ups and downs and just enjoy the ride. So join me, AMarieEll as I stumble, succeed and dance my way through life, love, fashion and everyday musings!
