The tragedy in Connecticut is beyond unimaginable, but unfortunately it is
all too real. I learned about the shootings today from a teary-eyed school
administrator who passed the news quietly around the school, as not to disrupt
the students. I was shocked, speechless and incredibly saddened when I heard
the tragic news. As I sat there watching the sweetest little 4 year olds laugh
and smile so innocently I felt my eyes burn with oncoming tears. As they
giggled over “tickly” crabs and “silly” fish my heart ached with sadness for
the victims’ families. My thoughts and prayers are with them all and with love
and compassion; I hope the community of Newtown can heal…
